Weak Layers 2023
As a life long skier and raised in a ski town, i didn’t realize how much this movie was needed. A great send up of the corny major studio ski movies but still hits some genuine emotional notes about accepting adulthood. Plus it passes the Bechdel

The reason the political ‘Right’ is so inflamed about this movie has nothing to do with gender politics. Nor is the reason anything pro-China, Satanic imagery, whatever they’re saying. They’re upset because this movie confronts contemporary existentialism. This is something they could never stomach.
