the writers on this series: lets make it religiously close to the original source material. so they literally feel like they're reading the book as they watch it. apart from one thing. colin firth is going to jump into a lake and emerge, dripping wet, with his undershirt clinging to him, and walk back to pemberley. that's the only thing that needs to be added. it has little to no plot relevance but it'll be hot as fuck
