This film is an explosion of unique writing and visual style that absolutely lives up to its predecessor, and then some.
Special shout-out to Spider-Punk: I unironically adored every single line of his.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

    ★★★

A great way to tie up and (at least for now?) end the Guardians of the Galaxy. This film does a wonderful job at maintaining its typical lightheartedness that you expect from the team, while also exploring some darker tones. All without loosing balance between the two contrasting feelings.

An additional bonus: Quill is probably the truest to his comic-counterpart to date.

Unfortunately, it suffers somewhat from having to pick up a few loose ends left from other, failure films…

After seeing Wakanda Forever, I can without question say I have a new favourite MCU film. It has everything I loved about the first Black Panther film multiplied by ten, especially most noteworthy being a very relatable, sympathetic, and well fleshed out antagonist—something very few Marvel films can say. As wonderful as Shuri and the other Wakandans were, Namor absolutely stole the show for me. I loved how unapologetically Indigenous he was, and I loved how the film does not…

There is nothing I don’t adore about this film. The understanding of the characters, the story beats, the style… Truly a wonderful experience; there’s really nothing more than needs to be said.
