Some bright spots but overall disappointing. We’re 35 films in, we need to demand better. There were elements here and there but they never materialised.

    Carry-On

    ★★★½

Carry-In is your typical mid-budget action-thriller flick but executed right.

Jason Bateman is great as the antagonist in the role: constantly holding the cards until Taron Everton’s Ethan flips the script. The cat and mouse dynamic between them is the heart of the film which keeps it alive till the end.

Nothing over the stop but I had a great time watching it.

I’m struggling to find any fault in this film. A simply remarkable film on all levels. A massive round of applause to everyone involved.

Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya were so so good as was Austin Butler in his villainous role.

    So so good man lmao.

    How to Have Sex

An honest, accurate depiction of young people culture in holidays.

What starts off as a typical ‘girls’ trip to what seems like Ibiza coded quickly turns into an all op familiar tale as old as time.

Molly Manning Walker did a great job at showcasing the part life initial high of going on a girls trip; loud music, zany vibes, long endless nights, days blending into one. The thing I enjoyed/resonated with the most was the slang as it felt…
