  Cynthia Erivo naturally and flawlessly made this movie award-worthy. She seamlessly became her character and acted from head to toe.  Ariana Grande did not come across naturally. Her performance was great but it was a performance. It was Ariana Granda as G(a)linda, and not just G(a)linda. Excited for Wicked 2.

  Lots of action but no backstory showing how the protagonist developed his “good instincts.” There was no explanation for how the protagonist developed his ability  to fight, maintain calm in stressful situations, etc. It would have been more interesting if they had developed his character further in the beginning to make his heroic acts likely.

  Great visuals, kept my attention the entire time. I am usually distracted by my phone when watching movies and this one had my full attention. Great storyline, nice twist. Makes me want to research in depth the process of electing a new pope.
