    I like the Dark Knight ahh ending, went in thinking this was action movie featuring romance, but it did romance better than most rom coms, and the action was on some Overlord (JJ Abram’s) & Oblivion (Kosinski) sorta pacing which was cool. Story felt like something Jules Verne would’ve wrote, and similar to H.G Wells “Island of Doctor Moreau”.

    I love a good execution of a simple idea, but also when a director gives fan service like paying homage to Queens Gambit & Whiplash; them hating it made it enjoyable.

    I appreciate a creative’s ability to suspend forethought.

    In the middle there were so many possibilities that you didn’t know what to anticipate.

    I felt that the beginning although very much a straight shot, framed things in away that made it entertaining.
