  Am I entertained? Absolutely. I haven’t giggled this much to a drama action movie ever. Will I think of the Roman Empire at least once a day, with sharks, zombie monkeys and large men with six packs for the rest of my life ? Hopefully yes.

  I didn’t like this film when it came out, for many reasons. And I don’t like it now rewatching it 24 years later. It was old even when it premiered (it wouldn’t age well because the concept of much older men and younger women gives you the ick even now) and as a 15 year old girl at the time I thought it was really awkward and I still think it’s awkward. I mean we all see the age gap…

  Well, I got knocked over. My preconceptions about this movie got shattered after two hours. Never been a Will Ferrell fan but after watching this one he is gaining on me. I can just stand up and say I was wrong in my bias about this film, I admittedly was totally wrong. I love it!
