  Halfway through the movie, I realized this was like a Philip K. Dick or Arthur C. Clarke story (mad props, Simon Stålenhag, you're following the greats) and that we were going to learn a lesson. Went into this movie ready to make fun of it, but came out impressed by how it executed the vision. Nevertheless, Alan Silvestri truly needed to chill on his strings and the Russo brothers needed to chill on the fade-to-black transitions.
