Classic Ultra Series and Classic TsuPro TV honed to borderline perfection with some fine premium cable polish.
There isn’t a single underwhelming episode in this 12-episode series. Each is a wallop of pure allegorical/parable sci-fi crafted in only the way Tsuburaya Productions can when they’re at their best.

The first time I saw that teaser trailer of a redesigned Gridman silhouetted amongst the skyline, I had my doubts. This was an anime reboot of a Tsuburaya property and, even worse, a “grounded”/“mature” reboot of a Tsuburaya property - a recipe that frequently breeds results that leave me bored out of my mind such as Ultraman The Next, Ultraman Nexus, and even Marvel’s Rise/Trials of Ultraman comics later on. So, I went into this show not expecting a lot.
