    gutwrenchingly beautiful. forces the viewer to confront the possibility of having something so precious, so beautiful, so grand, and knowing you will lose it all no matter what you do. a beautiful story with fantastic actors that make you face your own mortality as it dances with your potential and all your hopes and dreams. reminds me of a quote by cs lewis—“The pain I feel now is the happiness I once had. That’s the deal.”

    Such a wild ride. a beautiful film in the way of depicting regret and a refusal to accept yourself, particularly in the context of transness. I hope all my trans friends watch this. touched me in a very unique and emotional way. it felt like my tears were sitting behind my eyes for 75% of the movie and they all just came out at the end. This movie is heartbreaking and beautiful. it’s definitely one I’ll have to rewatch plenty of times

    conveys the feeling and process of being enamored with someone as a consequence of your own insecurity or inexperience really well. love that I’m able to see how negative and unhealthy their dynamic/involvement is as a young adult but I know I absolutely would’ve obsessed over and heavily related to this when I was a teenager. hate how crazy armie hammer’s face card is
