When this was showing in theaters during its awards run, I thought I bought a ticket to it until I saw the title card for it appear that read, “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.” I then proceeded to sit through the entirety of a sequel to a movie I had never seen before. And now, after nearly 8 years, I am finally getting the chance to actually watch it. Needless to say this is a much better film than the movie I saw that day.

This movie is significantly hornier and gayer than its predecessor. I’m too old to legitimately be shipping Mal and Evie, but I think Kenny Ortega knew what he was doing when he shot “Space Between.” COME ON!
