Whiplash 2014
This movie is a real feast for the eyes with its shots and colors grabbing attention from start to finish. The use of colors to show the main character's emotions is brilliantly done. The climax, echoing a story from the hero's teacher, is just awesome. However, the main character seemed a bit shallow to me. But then again, how can you blame the main character when his teacher, Fetcher, literally consumes his life and mind? In short, it's an amazing visual experience with a slight drawback on the main character's development, but Fetcher's complex role adds a deep layer to the narrative.
