I often fall asleep during movies, but I still enjoy them.

The Brood 1979
Spine #777: Cronenberg masterfully crafts a disturbing yet fascinating world, and this film stands out as my favorite. The strong plot and wicked twist, especially when Nola reveals her true form to Frank, sent shivers down my spine. Absolutely gruesome and unforgettable—the Broods are the last thing I’d ever want to encounter.

Collateral 2004
Michael Mann’s great visual eye for fast-paced, noir thrillers drives this film. Tom Cruise delivers a menacing performance, while Jaime Foxx transforms into his own towards the end of the film.

Red River 1948
Spine #709: I can't believe you can start a stampede by stealing some sugar. A western tale of cowboys traveling across the Great Plains to sell some cattle. John Wayne and Montgomery Clift have good chemistry together. My favorite scenes were at night as they protected the cattle, and it was all foggy, you could feel the paranoia and tension. You feel it building up throughout and then it ends on a pretty flat note. It is a good film but not one of my favorites.

Mickey 17 2025
The follow-up to Parasite by Bong Joon-ho was a well written satire film that is a commentary on the modern landscape. The direction and cinematography are excellent. All it really took was to be mindful of the worms. Robert Pattinson is a great actor and his characters always have the appropriate accent. Mickey 17 and Mickey 18 were so different but I thought they were just reprinted copies of Mickey 1? I wouldn’t want to be an expendable but he never answered what it is like to die?
