Seeing a man become exactly like his father for the worst is so hard to see. What's harder is seeing the people who care about him suffer because of his bitter and flawed character. The setting, with a couple exceptions, being confined to the house works so well to reflect Troy's character remaining in one place and not striving for more which in turn holds everyone around him back. Viola is incredible as always. Denzel is one hell of a director cause the dialogue in this movie was top notch.
