the mom is insufferable (as is her son) but she’s right about one thing — read Toni Morrison.
I thought this was good, only wish it was more developed. Ziggy and Evelyn are so different but they’re also one in the same. the ending felt a bit rushed to me but all in all I think Jesse Eisenberg did a solid job.

“What the fuck was that? That was bullshit! I’m so disappointed! I was SO invested in this movie!” - an angry dad in front of me in the theater, ranting about the end scene of this movie lol.
Honestly I don’t think this is as bad as some of the reviews say it is. The ending sucked and I don’t think the movie should have ended where it did at all, but that’s it. Leaves you with a lot of questions and I think it could have made great commentary about the patriarchy and women breaking free if the pacing was better. Florence carried as usual!
