Hmmm I don’t know a 2.6 on Letterboxd (if you add all the stars and divide by the number of ratings)? That seems a bit harsh for this movie. It’s not a mindblowing j-drama but the story is really interesting and oftentimes engaging.

It’s about time the US made a hand drawn 2D animated film in the traditional (ish) manner. Ernest and Celestine 2 and The Boy and the Heron were movies I was able to watch on the big screen but they were foreign films brought from France and Japan respectively but it’s so great something much more mainstream was able to get released in cinemas. THE Batman is a breath of fresh air and a great new take of our beloved caped crusader with a highly engaging story that gets you into the mystery the second it begins a psychological thriller full of suspense, incredible action scenes and effects, breathtaking cinematography, a villain (in this case The Riddler) who is the definition of intimidating, and memorable characters we root for love to hate and sympathize with.
