the film did a good job making its point that the repressing the genuine cultural integration of the Irish language for political optics is counterintuitive to collective action while also criticizing the glamorization of violence contextual to the group’s politics (in a way only slightly reminiscent of every movie set in Belfast). tiocfaidh ár lá!

Harold and Maude 1971
Not gonna lie, Harold looking 12 does kinda throw me off. Absolutely love the manic pixie dream grandma though, and the 'suicides' were hilarious. I'm not usually a fan of older films, but the look and pacing of this one was great.
