  A couple cool kills, but the rest of the movie sucks. Texas Chainsaw has always had a special place in my heart and in no way is this a Texas chainsaw movie It feels like a straight to dvd b movie. The first movie is effective not because it’s brutal or over the top. It shows hardly anything and that’s why it works. The story is dog shit and every one of the main characters were unlikeable to the point…

  First time watching this and I loved it. Creepy, atmospheric rural horror with a constant sense of dread and some gnarly kills. Don’t know how this film isn’t talked about more tbh.

  This was a beautifully shot film. I liked a lot of the story too despite me originally thinking it was gonna suck. The witch was so good and so god damn scary. They somehow managed to make a sick movie out of an old ass nursery rhyme tale. It’s like The VVitch but with way more color and artsy stuff. Interested to see what else Oz Perkins has done/will do in the future. Only complaint on this was it was too short. I could’ve easily watched another hour of this beautiful world they created.
