  Aster builds dread like a master, ramping up the tension slowly with moments of horror getting bigger and closer together as the film progresses. Florence Pugh gave an amazing sympathetic performance. I loved having so many details hidden in plain sight for the observant viewer to catch, spotting some on the first watch made me instantly want to rewatch for what I probably missed. When my wife pointed out a certain drink’s color, we figured it out simultaneously and lost our shit a mere moment before the character confirmed something was off. IYKYK

  Family movie night hit us right in the feels this week, I saw my family there on the screen. My youngest daughter was just a toddler when my wife was diagnosed with cancer and now I’m crying like it was all yesterday. She is a survivor but I’ll never forget how hard it was for her not being able to be the mom she wanted to be, for our older kid to have to step up, and for the little one just not understanding. Very beautiful animated movie that I’m surprised we’ve never seen before tonight.
