Takes the worst aspects of Okja and Snowpiercer and spreads them out over 2+ hours in service of a political farce so over the top it makes Don’t Look Up seem subtle. I think they had an interesting premise with the reprinting stuff that makes some anticapitalist points and meditates on fear of death, but then they kind of eschew all of that to redo Okja instead with more cartoonishly cringe villains. A predictable ending and a fair bit of gross-out content make this a big miss and a movie I’ll never rewatch.

Ordinary People 1980
Estimating the date but I first watched this for a Psych class in college and loved it so much, went home for thanksgiving break and got my mom to watch it. Brilliant acting performances all around.
