Ripped my soul apart.
Halfway review (because it was so damn good I needed to take notes) - Every smile was melancholy, hiding some sort of pain. I felt like the entire first half was hiding a secret, hiding hurt, unrecognized individuality & identity. Also that shot of the Kerry/Kevin/David triple exposed was beautiful.
No success is good enough. No achievement fulfiflls desire.
(the slow, long zooms made me so uncomfortable; it was such a unique way to build tension without performance…
Never seen The Omen. But the whole plot was painfully obvious since the 10 minute mark.
Nevertheless, brutal and enjoyable, unique and unexpected horror.
I’m sure the sound design would have been much more enjoyed in the theater, but that just means I got to enjoy the cinematography more :)

This was awesome. The stuff indie dreams are made of. Really impressively written with good characters, a solid mystique that was left semi-unanswered in a frustrating yet satisfying way, and all on a really low budget.
Even though I figured some things out pretty fast, I was uneasy for a lot of the film; I was on the edge of my seat for some reveals and turns, which is hilarious since the soundtrack was very atmospheric and alluring, just…
