  I think I liked this film a lot cuz the girl was such a little weirdo pervert. 

  • really loved the score and songs 
  • overall quite obsessed with lighting and the shots and editing of this film. Feels very like something I would make, the wide angles close up, movement, awkward. 

  - felt too long, but think I’m adapting to this directors style after having seen chunking express, it’s more an amalgamation of stories and characters intertwining. This had weirdo’s and playfulness in a way that intrigued me, and I always appreciate the depth or honesty of the character studies

  I wanted to like this film more than I did. A fun watch and I enjoyed hunter Schaefer’s performance and the camerawork; but the world - myth - of the monster and the metaphors attempting to be made around motherhood - loss - and adolescence felt weak and not as fleshed out or as interesting as they could have been

  poetic, horny, beautiful little piece of animation, with a fun score. Very 70’s and psychedelic. 

  I feel as though very rarely do I watch something and find each still simple beautiful, it does feel like every second was crafted with care, really loved the color palette of the film, and overall aesthetic. Lots of moments of wow.
