The Taylor machine hates to see Mr. Smith and his DEI summer camp and his hat that represents a strong sense of justice coming!! They’re just jealous bc he is younger and far more beautiful and doesn’t need a wig like Mr. Paine. This is an idealistic and hopeful movie that features some of the best female characterization (I <3 Saunders) and subtle, convincing romance I’ve seen in a minute, all while being a useful lesson in how the Senate operates. What more could u want!

there was a point while watching this that i was like “haha why does he keep getting his shield taken away during fights” until i realized that it was a purposeful thematic choice that symbolized his struggle to hang onto the title and the legacy that came with that shield. and then i was like hell yeah!! i get it!! overall, i think this was a good movie. they utilized a lot of good mystery and tension, à la Winter…
i feel like you can tell this was made by people who haven’t really researched much philosophy, which sucks bc that’s like… the whole point… of the movie…. like, i’m all for a story about sheltered freaks getting way too into an inconsequential club activity, but when the characters who are supposedly insane about the club don’t seem to have any clue what theyre talking about, it kinda falls flat. i feel like this just swung too heavily on the…
