the most entertaining 2 and a half hours of my effing life! bjh delovers a satirical blockbuster full of stupid (affectionate), goofy, on the nose political commentary (via mark ruffalos lowkey spot on trump impressions 🤨 & the entire premise of expendables) at a time where we need it most etc

robert pattinsons pathetic (earth & 17) and unhinged (18) performance carried…. he is truly the star of the show here. i felt so bad about his macaron business….. that being said…

never has a toothache been so sensual and sexy etc.
set in japan-occupied korea, this film manages to tackles class, crime, sexual abuse, and forbidden romances (👩🏻❤️👩🏻) in a tasteful and nuanced way, while maintaining impeccable writing and cinematography (the film is absolutely gorgeous. the sets the outfits etc are a labour of love).

how can a film be so romantic yet so lonely melancholic etc…… never in my life have a i seen such intense yearning and sadness between two people - trapped between themselves, bad luck, and ~what they think society expects from them~ in their own personal hells of longing for what they will never have. incredible performance from the actors. this is also the most beautiful film i have ever seen in my life in technical terms sound set colouring…

never done before and can never be done again. directors are afraid of casting someone as mid/balding as billy crystal (because of woke). leading to sexy botoxed charismaless personalityless romance leads (glen powell etc.) who dont have an OUNCE of his range. meg ryan needs no words as always. never have i seen such chemistry between two actors or such perfect writing……
