The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974
if compared to other era defining horror flicks or even with classic titles contemporary to its release time, Texas Chainsaw Massacre stuns by its modernity and craftiness. Whereas some classics like Halloween have grown to feel and look dated, parts of this are just so forward thinking, they are to be considered alongside cinema from 2 decades later. As a whole it is a canon piece. I do not think you get David Lynch without the dinner scene.
