Leave the World Behind 2023
A portrayal of American decline, Sam Esmail's film manages to be incredibly tedious and torturous. The director's ability to generate moments of secondhand embarrassment is astounding, and he fails to control the film's pace. The movie is dragged out, the climax is nonexistent, and it is purely a propaganda piece for the Democratic Party, selling the notion that the world is uniting against the USA and internal unity is crucial. I'd prefer to eat a bowl full of glass shards than watch this film again.
