I am so sad I didn't think to watch David Lynch before, and needed his death to finally spur me into action.
This movie is seriously something else. It is everything I hoped for from a David Lynch movie from what I'd heard about him: it is depraved and wild in all the best ways, and also has one of the most cathartic and dreamlike endings I've ever seen.

The Wailing 2016
This was a really well shot, directed, and paced horror movie unfortunately undermined by insanely over-the-top melodramatic acting. Like seriously, half this movie is people screaming. And the main character crying was not convincing lol.
But everything else was awsum. Love its restraint, but also love how balls to the wall it gets once things get goin.

Rear Window 1954
I don’t think I watched this in the proper environment/headspace so I didn’t appreciate all its moments, but MAN are the moments outside the window watching boring as hell. It did make the window scenes more rewarding, but they could’ve put some actually interesting dialogue and interactions to fill the gaps.
The climax/ending though, is awesome as hell and worth it. Beautiful and absurdly dramatic cinematography. Torn on what to give this, but its finale has been on my mind for many days, and it deserves all the props for that.
