War is the destroyer of humanity! (No way!)
I’m always so hesitant when men are creepy in older movies because I wonder how bad it might get and it makes me a bit uncomfortable 🫣 thankfully everything was pretty tame but someone was about to become a child bride (scary)
It’s a fun movie and has child like whimsy as per usual with his stories and animation style.

I’m sure this movie was a certified banger when it came out in 1999. Perhaps it was the blueprint for every hallmark movie to come after it because it CERTAINLY FELT LIKE A BIG BUDGET HALLMARK MOVIE.
The comedy was mainly pretty funny with alter ego Otto Hightower. The best love story in this movie is the one of his friends. So sweet.
If I have to see another slow motion shot of Julia Robert’s smiling I might lose my mind

BACK ALLEY VENEERS!!
Acting was eating except for the fact some of it felt like an SNL impression from Mark Ruffalo. There’s a fine line and it definitely got blurry. Don’t get me wrong I loved the art mirrors reality and political satire sort of thing but in space to make it more exciting but it felt too on the nose at some points which made the tone of the story a bit confusing here and there.

WE ARE INTRODUCED TO THE BEST COUPLE IN CINEMA HISTORY!!!!!
Similar to the first movie this movie is so clever with the dragon animation styles. They really thought about that shit hard.
Hiccup still is annoying but about 40% cuter. Watching for children this would be an important story about growth and responsibility and what not. But I just watched for the dragons. And surprisingly this was quite devastating.
