did i hear COMING OF AGE CLASSIC???
This was the first non-Disney film I watched that came out before 2000, and that's probably why it has a special place in my heart. I don't think I fully grasped the intricacies of parts of the movie upon my first watch -- but the dance scene, the confessions (which were improvised?!) and the character development is something special.
Watching this movie made me feel like a normal teen who liked The Breakfast Club. What gives?

OK SO NOT AS GOOD AS THE BOOK. obviously. but it stays true to the original novel, which is amazing. matthew macfayden makes mr. darcy such a socially awkward ball of nerves which is adorable and hilarious.
The movie was a little fast paced for me -- my "oH HE'S PROPOSING ALREADY??" total count is three, if I'm keeping track. I'm still happy how I knew what was happening, and loved every moment of it.
Also, the cinematography is beautiful…
