Sing Sing 2023
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A lot of soul in this one.
Haven’t felt this type of soul since The Green Mile, Life, Pursuit of Happiness or even Shawshank Redemption of which I actually barely remember - but I can’t forget the soulfulness in it.
A heavy but freeing feeling.
Maybe, the energy of the soul is what’s evoked most when trying to live freely within a state of imprisonment.
I suppose it helps that 90% of the cast were real inmates playing themselves and the script was based on a true story. The cherry on top of this soulful pie was that it was baked on film.

Triangle of Sadness 2022
This was really good! Really liked how they showed the socio economic disparity between the characters and made it funny - especially when those disparities would change depending on the landscape. I watched the Q&A with the cast/director and it was noted that often times people forget that to be funny is to be smart and this was v well balanced here. Still need to figure out how they shot the yacht scene - soo sick!
