Either it will disgust people (should be everyone) that find the characters' behaviors abhorrent, yet reaffirm something we all already know, or it will fuel people with the mindset of the characters that media is demonizing them. I will preface with, you need to go in WANTING this to scare you. Immersion is key, and trying to pick at the unconventional approach this film takes will certainly ruin it. What started off feeling like a rip of Stranger Things very quickly twisted into something familiar but fresh. Some great callbacks to slasher classics like Halloween, Psycho, and Scream. Rich Sommer gave a great performance overall, for an actor I never really associate with horror, his ending scene was absolute evil. This movie had beautiful cinematography and the score was perfect. A must add to anyone's list for October movies.
