    The thing about feature-length Looney Tunes movies is that these characters were never really meant for feature-length stories. They're too anarchic, too abrasive to sustain any formal narrative. THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP understands this and instead treats the story like a series of sketches with a running-through line. The comedy ranges from modern wit to old-school absurdist, and frankly, it's a damn delight.
