  Really enjoyed the gruesome creature design, the visual aspects, the sound design and Christopher Abbot, yet the story is totally uninteresting and monotonous. Just a Friday night watch.

  The castle sequences and Ellen's possession scenes are captivating but I'll never erase from my mind that one last shot. Lilly Rose and Bill Skarsgard are top notch!

  This became one of my favorite horror I've seen.
  While the structure seems familiar with other serial killer film it has quite unique premises. Maika Monroe shines in this and Nicolas Cage character is straight up from a nightmare.
  Bleak, haunting and darkly unsettling.

  (Also I did find this as a spiritual brother to Blackoats Daughter)
