Conclave 2024
An enjoyable and entertaining movie. I’m a bit of sucker for political thrillers and dramatic conversations in dark rooms.
That being said it was melodramatic, a bit too on the nose, and pretty obvious to me. It also was very clearly a social commentary on the times (esp 1 week pre election). The obviousness had me rolling my eyes but also gave me stomach cramps as we creep up on the election.
Had a fun time though and I think this will be a crowd pleaser! Fiennes was v good and gripping.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
Not scary, but quite odd. In some ways, I found it hard to relate to the movie. I don’t quite remember planning my life around a weekly TV drop with others, not my type of fandom. Although I did find my way onto obscure fandom message boards during some lonely adolescence years. In other ways, it was quite relatable. The story has a many layers, some very obvious, but others I’m still untangling in my little brain.
