This movie is good, no doubt about it in my opinion. Every frame and shot is beautiful and looks like it could be a painting. Lily Rose-Depp provides a crushing and haunting performance as Ellen, and some of the jump scares actually made me jump. It was gross, it was uncomfortable, it was dark and gritty and exactly what I think a vampire movie should be.
At the same time though - I don’t know that I was really wowed…
