Every time I watch this film I spot just one or two little new details. And every time time, the jokes land perfectly and leave me cackling like a daft thing.

Definitely a film that falls into the so bad it's good genre, it's not got riveting dialogue or deep characters at all in fact, but it's got some fantastic gore and some genuinely funny black humour that I enjoyed and laughed at.

Feels like a sibling film to Terrifier in the fact that it's mostly murder porn. Marketing was a bit inaccurate and misleading initially and I'm kinda sad it wasn't more like Long Legs.

    God I hate The Smiths.
This was a big let down compared to Fincher's other work, which is some of my favourite cinema ever. Se7en is an all timer. This one the other hand was just...tired and dull. The whole perfectionist contract killer plot device is so overdone now. And the edgy internal monologues were interesting to a point, then they just got repetitive, which is probably the point, it's his mantra, it's how he focuses, but that didn't stop…

This is the kind of movie that, if I watched it when I was 14 or 15, I'd have made it my entire personality for the next month, I'd be wearing my dad's massive coats, jumping around and trying, very badly, to replicate "Gunkata" which is a super goofy name, but it's also really fun. This film was just fun. Nothing INCREDIBLE or world view altering. Although it does demonise minimalism, which I approve of immensely. Fuck minimalism.

Overall, not an all timer by any means, but a good fun little romp of a movie.
