    I guess I'm a really easy mark for a movie about backstage chaos. I always loved that aspect of The Muppet Show, ironically enough. And that mounting tension of "everything is going wrong, time is ticking away, and we keep getting sidetracked by crazier and crazier new problems" works here.     It's terribly interesting that one can make a movie subdued, but never sleepy. And what's more, make a movie that's essentially about an all-boys school getting together to elect someone the Prom King, and make it as engaging and engrossing as this is.

    Fantastic performances all around. Ralph Fiennes is, of course, the main attraction with a glassy-eyed, internalized performance that fits perfectly his character's slowing simmering disillusionment with the Church. But some real standouts to me are John Lithgow's…

    Not sure how this has turned into a comfort film for me, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

    The sheer depth of this cast is insane. Guys like Donal Logue and Anthony Edwards are absolutely killing it in their 5-10 minutes of screen time.

    Watched the Directors Cut for the first time and...and I'm not sure exactly what was different or new. Fantastic movie either way.
