  Despite the fact that I own this film on 4K, I thought I would revisit the 20th anniversary edition which was only available on DVD. I prefer the original theatrical cut, but I did think that the 20th anniversary version had some merit. And I haven’t watched it since 2002. Time for a revisit!

  I bought this movie without realizing it was directed by Chris Gore. I wouldn’t have bought it had I known. I used to like Gore but he fell down the alt right rabbit hole with some of the most toxic trolls on YouTube. He’s not the guy he used to be.

  The documentary itself is fine. A collection of clips from the show. Kind of a “best of package”. Sadly, Gore can’t help himself and includes clips of his toxic YouTube friends at the end of the film 🤮🤮🤮🤮

  Not an embarrassment by any means but at four hours, this is simply far too long and self indulgent. The film is absolutely an inferior cut to the theatrical version, removing some of the best scenes including the ‘Aquaman/lasso’ scene and the Superman/Flash race. These wonderful moments are replaced with loooooooong, sloooooooow stretches of originitis and scenes of Broody characters being sad about stuff.
