Enjoyable! Not all of it worked for me but plenty did.
Without spoilers, here are some thoughts:
- This a Marvel film with family at the heart of it. Not in a F&F sense of the word either.
- Redhead Scarlett is my favourite.
- Florence Pugh gets the best lines.
- David Harbour was great fun.
- Did you know you needed to hear Ray Winstone doing a Russian accent? I didn't, until today.
- There is one absolutely massive Bond reference here which I did not expect, but loved!
- There is an end credits scene which is worth waiting for...
I've seen the odd minute of Darkman here and there while channel hopping. Usually it's a scene with HoboTaken scuttling about furtively in a manky looking building.
Had I ever happened upon any one of the other batshit mental scenes (and there are many) then I likely wouldn't have left it so long to watch Darkman in its entirety.
