Not nearly as bad as many here make it out to sound and a nice introduction to someone interested in the history of the Dominican Republic, especially in the light of the treatment of Haitians today.

The Architect 2006
I really can't understand all the hating on this movie. I loved the premise from the onset and was deeply moved by the film. Yes, there's no happy ending. But how often is there in life. I recommend it to anyone studying architecture and to anyone who cares about urbanism and how we create communities. It's one of the few movies where the effects architecture has on people become so apparent.
PS: The film really needs a better poster though. This one displayed here is just dreadful.
