  I hope everyone who watches this movie realizes it is a complete work of fiction. William Weightman was a real person, but by all accounts he was a flirtatious and easygoing, warm person who sent all of the sisters Valentines anonymously because none of them had ever received one. The movie portrays him as rather stern and judgmental. He definitely didn't have a love affair with Emily; Charlotte once wrote about him and Anne making eyes at each other, but…
