“Breaking” is disappointing. It’s a mix bag, you have John Boyega giving an amazing performance. In addition, the source material is heartbreaking and super interesting.
However, the movie falls flat. For such a tense story you’d think the movie would hold the same vibe. Instead it drags for two hours with little actual intrigue.
It’s fine, it has some good moments but the 2 and half stars really boils down to the fact that the negatives outweigh the positives and I would never rewatch it.
The dock scene was hilarious. But, this is just another middle of the road comedy.

Rotten Tomatoes will never be trusted in my eyes. Many people will see this movie and hate it and that’s fine, but personally I walked out of the theatre creeped out and genuinely happy with the movie I saw.

Easily the best animated movie I’ve seen in a while. This movie has so much heart and still manages to contain and properly handle very mature themes. This movie exudes perfection.
