Love Lies Bleeding 2024
Without a doubt a screening I will remember for the rest of my life. Not necessarily for the movie, which is decent. Kristen Stewart delivers her usual quality performance. But have you ever seen a movie night get so out of hand that people start screaming and fighting, the cops show up and people need to be treated by medical staff because of hyperventilation?
I have now.
Apparently sexist boomers and Gen Z lesbians don't mix very well. Who knew?…

This movie does something rare: it captures a feeling. The feeling people living in a cosmopolitan city and who like to wander around might recognise: the calmness of the back alleys, the side roads, the saying hello to the stranger you briefly encounter in a shop. The normality of multicultural encounters, the sound of languages you don't know passing by.…
