My favorite sub-genre: Competent people, doing their jobs.
This really is a fantastic movie. It just hits on every level, every time.

Bram Stoker's Dracula 1992
I really wanted to like this more than I did.
This is my third Dracula/Nosferatu adaption in less than two months and I have to say so far none have lived up to the Robert Eggers movie.
This one at least stand out visually. Great use of colors and in camera effects makes it more interesting to watch.Translated from by

The Night of the Beast 2020
I loved this film!
I remember going to my first big concert, also that Iron Maiden, and the excitement, the restlessness, the expectation that this was gonna be the greatest night in my life.It was fun to see the same things in these to young boys. I'm fine with how the story went and where the film ended.

Betrayed 2020
I've seen many depictions of holocaust and Jewish persecution over the years, but I have to admit that it hit extra hard on a film with my own language, in my own country.
I like that the film does not shy away from the fact that, although the nazis occupiers ordered the prosecution and deportation of the jewish population, it was norwegians that did the deed. It was norwegian police that rounded people up and drove them to the ship that would take them to concentration camps in Germany. It is a dark piece of norwegian history that rarely gets told.
