I watched this for the absolutely insane premise and was not ready for it to live up to its wholesome reputation based on the popular reviews, but it certainly did. Angel's found family are all great and there is a shocking amount of sensitivity in the portrayal of sex workers for an 80s film. There is a fair amount of unnecessary nudity but I still overall enjoyed this much more than expected. It was more of a crime thriller than a horror but the serial killer scenes were sufficiently creepy. I will never look at a raw egg the same way again.
