my roman empire.
ngl i rewatched this masterpiece a couple of nights ago and i can never get enough of this movie. it will never get boring and i can watch it over and over and still feel like im watching it for the first time. which is hard to find nowadays.
this movie sends a strong message and i cant say anything not nice about it.

seeing this after the oscar win for adrian brody. i need to say, the pure cinematography and the capture of the american dream in the first half - which uses bright and warm colors, and then the second half when the american dreams fall apart and the story is literally brutal - cool toned colors.
the movie was purely amazing visionary wise, and i cannot begin to explain how much i enjoyed the movie untill intermission.

this made me go down a rabbit hole on this case and its literally the last thing i need rn. but no joke, this was an amazing experience - watching jake gyllenhaal holding onto dear life and trying not to go over the edge while trying to find out who the killer was. other than that, santana mentioned??? loved the song they chose for the beginning scene (after the murder). anyways i loved this. will recommend.
