man. the feeling of having a family member that you’re afraid to leave alone when they’re in distress, you love them but get so angry at them for not changing and ultimately have to accept they never will.. deeply resonated with me

    - it takes two to tango
    - I don’t want to tango
bawled my eyes out when the credits rolled. this film touched me in such a profound way I can’t even begin to put into words. the desperate plea for human connection and, finally, the acceptance of loneliness resonated deeply with me, as I too have felt this way in the past. I have always believed that a deep connection between two people, friendship or otherwise, was such a precious thing that was to be maintained, nurtured, but sometimes loss is to be accepted and grieved and there’s nothing wrong with that

the acting is phenomenal, the cinematography - utterly spellbinding… the sense of not belonging in a foreign country hit home, while the power imbalance was depicted in such a crude and relentless manner that some scenes left me speechless, truly shook me to my core
