I was disappointed! Painstakingly slow though somehow little room was given to connect with the characters. The timeline was disjointed and the vignettes felt … incomplete.
Bong Joon Ho does it again. I honestly loved everything about this movie. It’s the perfect blend of comedy, satire and moral dilemma that will be stuck in my head for weeks to come. Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette stunned, Naomi Ackie blew me away, but Robert Pattinson absolutely made the movie every bit of what it was. The visuals were stunning, though revolting at times, and I was pleasantly surprised by my appreciation for CGI. Overall, a top notch production and good reminder of the ever important role that film plays to give us a look into our fast-approaching future.
Every actor seemed to think they were in a different movie. Some of the cinematography was drop dead gorgeous, though was drowned by the fact that the writers had absolutely no clue how internships work. Many issues were hinted at with absolutely no stance taken. Character flaws were indecisive and left unexplored. Several scenes made me chuckle which was definitely unintended.
