Alien 1979
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The beginning of this film wasn't holding my attention- I think the set was elaborate and full of quirky old computers, but I wasn't feeling emotionally invested in the characters. I was also there to see the monsters and it was taking took too long...
I mentally re-engaged with the movie when alien eggs were discovered and we met our facehugger. From this point forward, the movie was full of suspense and pure adrenaline- much better!
There was a scene…

Aquaman 2018
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
What on Earth did I just watch?! This would have to be one of the most bizzare movies I've ever seen.
This film came with an identity crisis so extreme that it felt comedic. It was as though the filmmaker wasn't sure themselves what this was, so borrowed elements from: Indiana Jones, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Avatar, The Power Rangers, Jumanji, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea- then took a potato masher and attempted to 'blend' it all together…

Adeline made me stop to reflect- to consider what it would be like as…

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir 1947
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I was surprised by how much I loved this film!
Mrs. Muir is quite an assertive, offbeat misfit of a woman for her time- I can certainly relate! I love her!
I think this story is ripe for a modern re-make; it's a fantastic original, and one I had never heard of.
This was hilarious, hauntingly sad, and of a beautiful love that transcends time. I laughed, and I cried.
"You Blasted Mud Turtle" is my new favourite insult, and I could recognise the pitch of that Dead Reckoning train whistle anywhere!
I cannot believe this was made in 1947!
