  this film was sooooo ahead of its time. nausicaä is my hero 

  not to be annoying but i rly enjoyed this story from a sociological perspective. outside of the obvious climate change connection, miyazaki’s message is applicable to basically every power struggle between ruling class and underclass. throughout the film my head was spinning with ideas about restorative justice, radical empathy, coalition building, etc.
